The term DJ is a very loose term, explain why.

Now that no one uses discs of any kind anymore, the term "DJ" is used as a label for really anyone that can push 'play' on some device that plays music in a live setting. As far as wedding entertainment is concerned, a couple really only has two options: live band, or DJ. That's all anyone ever asks, right? "Oh, did you have a live band or a DJ?" Unfortunately, this label is so loose that it's constrictive. When you think "DJ" in that sense, all you automatically think about is "someone that pushes play." What comes to mind is essentially little more than a human ipod. For this reason, I don't like to use "DJ" as a personal label. I am not a disc jockey. I am an entertainer. I am an artist. I am active. I am involved. I use my microphone, my mixing board, and a pallet of ten thousand songs to craft an atmosphere that cultivates and facilitates the excitement and happiness befitting every single wedding and special event I am privileged to be a part of. As an entertainer, it's simply not enough to choose and songs that allow people to dance. My passion is to lift your guests to the same level of joy you feel on your most special day; not only so that they have the best time they possibly can, but to make them feel as much a part of you as they can. That is art.

What does talent mean to you?

.Talent an innate, omnipresent calling that, while you may not have known it existed previously, you somehow knew it was always there. Talent is a skill. Talent is a force. It's an ability to use other skills to effect a result on the outside world. Talent is motion. Talent is energy. Talent, if used correctly, can change the world.

Why is catering to a clients visions so important?

There is not a single other day in your lives that will come close to this one. This isn't just getting married. This isn't just a party. This is the fusing of two individuals, multiple families, hundreds of stories, and thousands of memories that provide an infinite amount of possibilities to make your event just as beautiful and unique as you. No one else has your story. No one else has your love. Your event should tell your story. Your guests should share in that love. Being the Good is so much more than simply catering to your wants and wishes. Being the Good is enveloping and immersing the entire room in the essence that is you. Having just recently gotten married myself, I have all of the emotions and memories fresh in mind to call upon when looking at your wedding from the other side of the microphone. I am proud to say that my wedding was everything I could have ever imagined and more, and I will do whatever I can to make sure you feel the same.

How do you feel about being a major part in the biggest day of someones life?

As a former singer in several regionally touring bands, I've had the great fortune of performing in front of crowds as large as 15,000. I've been able to hold the microphone out over a sea of faces and hear lyrics that I thought up and that I wrote down sung back to me. Yet, still to this day, the absolute rush I felt on those stages utterly pales in comparison to the satisfaction I receive from knowing that your wedding day lived up to and exceeded any and all expectations or possible descriptions. When you have loved your day so much that you can hardly put it into words, I've done my job.

A word from a Cris Crapello client

"These guys could not possibly have made my wedding any more awesome. Cris knew the vibe I wanted, and he actively kept the room going all night... And he DEFINITELY knew what my wedding needed more than I did. All my guests raved about my emcee! Key word here is "emcee"... They didn't put up an iTunes playlist like so many wedding DJs do. They are active through the whole reception and play what they need to in order to keep your guests dancing and the flow they create in the room is flawless.
Cris and Nick worked with me every step of the way, gave me advice, and helped me coordinate all the little non-traditional details I wanted and it was more than perfect.
If you choose someone other, you're seriously selling yourself short!"

What Our Clients Are Saying

Picture
"Nick Cavaleri personalizes every aspect of your wedding to your tastes during your creativity session; he really listens to hear HOW you want your day to feel and helps you pick out what best fits your personalities both as a couple and as individuals. Nick is incredibly knowledgeable about the business as well and will share what he has learned from his experience to help you truly make your perfect day. He is a wonderful emcee and DJ for your wedding. He has the perfect voice for announcing your wedding moments but also keeps your dance floor packed! As I researched DJ's and watched numerous videos, I found many of the DJ's sounded like used car salesmen, were extremely cheesy and overly 'touchy-feely' sounding or were too dance-club like...then I found Nick. He really connected with all of our wedding guests and inserted himself enough to keep the wedding moving and yet was reserved enough to let the experience happen organically. If I could go back and do it all again, Nick would without a doubt be the first person I would reach out to to host the most important day of my life!"
